  We had a wonderful experience at Spicewood Cottage, the hosts were very kind and met us personally when we arrived. They were prompt to fix an issue with the bathtub within hours of calling, and the cottage was clean and well accommodated. The bed was comfortable and the water hot, we could not have possibly asked for more. The peaceful surroundings were perfect for watching the deer and even a grey fox. Thank you Terry and Helen for the great experience.

• Review of "Capitol Area Realty" at Spicewood

  We rented a home Scott Irwin brokered in Buda Texas. We are extremely disappointed in Scott, who was so eager to find us a home while the whole time ignoring our most important factors of location...schools and neighborhood. We ended up in a home that was falling apart, in a neighborhood we would have never chosen on our own and most importantly a school that based on everything we told Scott we didn't want..we unfortunately ended up with. Since Scott Irwin has lived in Buda/Kyle area he knew a lot more about the neighborhood and schools than he chose to say. Once the contract was signed Scott Irwin was gone. He received his commission so he apparently was happy with his actions and what he didn't tell us. Goes to the adage "You get what you pay for"...we paid nothing and that is what we received...nothing! Next time we'll be sure to pay a realtor ourselves, atleast we'll know what we'll get. Needless to say I would not recommend Mr Irwin.

• Review of "West Cypress Hills Elementary School" at Spicewood

  My oldest son went to West Cypress last year for the 5th grade, now at the new Middle School and my youngest son also attended, he is now in 1st grade. My oldest son's teacher was Mrs. Hicks, who my son absolutely loved and still talks about. She was great to work with and went outside the box to challenge our son who was a bit bored in math.. Our youngest son had Ms. Fink who was also awesome. it was kind of cute to hear him say that his new teacher is, no Ms. Fink...but her now likes his new teacher the more he goes to school. I can't speak for the leadership at West Cypress Hills, but I can say that these two teachers are awesome and the staff are always super nice. top it off with a very nice facility and being closer than Bee Cave Elementary means you get 5 stars in my book.
